| All Existing Home Medical Equipment Providers Must Be Accredited |
admin writes, "CMS announces drop-dead accreditation deadline
All existing home medical equipment providers must be accredited by Sept. 30, 2009 to continue billing Medicare Part B, CMS announced January 9, 2008 at a long-awaited and somewhat anticlimactic Special Open Door Forum.
"If you are not accredited by Sept. 30, 2009, the National Suppliers Clearinghouse will revoke your billing privileges," said CMS official Sandra Bastinelli. For any provider, whether it's a mom-and-pop, a pharmacy or a podiatrist or physician's office, who supplies HME and bills Medicare Part B must be accredited by one of the 10 deemed accrediting organizations. | Gaining a Window into Your Baby's Mind |
roanokebabysigns writes, "By Linda Acredolo, PhD. and Susan Goodwyn, PhD.
There’s nothing more heart-wrenching than hearing your baby cry and not knowing what’s wrong. Unfortunately, until they can talk, babies are literally “at a loss for words” when it comes to telling us what’s going on with them and how best we can help. At least that used to be the case. Now, thanks to a new approach to infant communication we call the Baby Signs® Program, children don’t have to wait until they can talk to let us know what’s on their minds..."
